A Message from Joe Vallejo
Aden HS’66

Since we first met in 1962 as Ateneo or Sta. Isabel freshmen or even earlier in elementary grades, we never did change: we always cared for our former seat mate, classmate, batch mate, the Christian way.

As friends and contemporaries, we just missed each other so much we couldn’t wait to meet again and again.

A decade after graduation in the late 70’s, we regrouped as newlyweds, young parents or young professionals, on our silver anniversary (1991), on our 35th (2001), and now we are together again mostly as over-eager lolos and lolas.

In the sixties, we partied the nights away as carefree juniors and seniors. After graduation time in the summer of ‘66, we either went to college or looked for work immediately and then found jobs and families.

Some of us got hitched with the first love at first sight, some erred and are still waiting for the last love or last drop, as the case may be. Some are back to single-blessedness and are again looking for trouble.

That’s the very reason for this joint celebration. The men are even gentle enough to allow the affair to be moved from December to February, the love month. Because we, the men, as well as the women of ‘66, are for each other.
