After 50 years, 61 is back
The core group of HS Batch 61 sponsored the 9am mass last
September 4 with Fr. Jun Viray celebrating. After the mass, the batch
invited Fr. Viray and Karl Llorin for lunch at Café Federico in Crown
Hotel. Members of the batch reminisced their high school years, asked
Fr. Jun about their Jesuit teachers who were still living, and discussed
current matters about the university.
Fr.
Jun was also given time to share about his plans for the Ateneo. The
father president said we have to maintain the excellent quality of
education of AdNU by supporting the faculty development program to gain
Master and Doctorate degrees for our teachers. He expressed that as
alumni are generous in giving support to the university in many forms,
the University is willing to share its treasure of Ignatian Spirituality
with the alumni.
Batch
61 was coming up with a souvenir program that can add to the needed
scholarship of students and faculty in the future, and other projects
the university may have. The batch also thanked the supportive batch
mates in abroad in the organizing of their December 29 and 30 reunion,
and the projects they have undertaking.
