HS Batch 83 reaches out to Canaman
Last Saturday July 30, Ateneo de Naga HS Batch 1983 conducted another outreach, this time in Barangay Sua, Canaman. Present during the outreach were Ric Inigo, Ric Lozano, Joel Tresvalles, Joel Tolosa, Gil Doblon, Meng Monte, Allen Tolledo, Johan Botor and Vicboy de Lima. On hand to host the batch in Barangay Sua was batchmate Barrio Captain Joel Ocbina.
In Barangay Sua, the batch distributed school supplies and school bags to the 178 pupils of Sua Elementary School. In addition, they provided slippers and clothes to the 30 day care kids. The school supplies and slippers were purchased using batch funds while the school bags and clothes were solicited from private individuals and private companies in Metro Manila.
After the outreach in Barangay Sua, the Batch 83 visited the Mayor of Canaman, Emmanuel Requejo of HS Batch 1960 to deliver a box of medicines to be used in the medical mission of Bec Brillo in Canaman on August 10.
The past weekend was a fruitful for the batch. They got to give back to the community by sharing, engaging with their beloved alma mater who was celebrating a whole week of Ignatian festivities.
Batch 83 extends their thanks to the generosity and support of all people who assisted.
