Kikay core group meet up
It has been 5 years since the last alumnae homecoming. The Kikay
Core Group met again last August 13,
Saturday at the Ateneo Board Room to revive the special reunion.
The
core group was oriented on the tentative activities and schedules of
the alumni association, the golden and silver jubilarians, and other
groups with scheduled homecomings this coming December. The group came
up with the homecoming name for 2011: Kikay, Kikoy, and Bax. The alumnae
homecoming that was made for the college alumnae was now open for
college male graduates and high school alumnae graduates.
Proposed
activities for the homecoming where skills and wellness talks, a
fashion show, concert, and a ball. To succeed in this homecoming, Mrs.
Salvosa emphasized the importance of inviting all alumni face- to-face,
start spreading the word in local private and public establishments, and
use recruitment forms to gather personal information of our alumni.
The forms will also be used to tap batch/group leaders who can bring in
more participation in the homecoming. It was also essential to survey
the best day to have the homecoming for the alumni.

The
initial members of the group who attended were Myrna Salvosa (College
73), Raquel Manalang (College 77), Lil Belangel (College 81), Karen
Amador (College 2004), Kor Ricero, Anna Tagas, and Kai Mongoso (College
2011), Tintin Dihiansan (College 2007), with Karl Llorin (HS 95/College
95). Other members who could not come due to important engagements were
Liway Delos Trino (College 67), Nene Saavedra (College 79), Guia Olin
(College 95) for Manila coordination, and Juliet Balace (College 81).

The
next meeting of the core group will be set on September during the
opening of the new alumni office, and regular meetings will be scheduled
starting October.
