Batch 83s Twin Passions

With Ateneo High School Batch 83s passion for others, they conducted three outreach activities this 2011 summertime: they gave out slippers and had a feeding activity to school children of the Mababang Paaralan ng Lope Manlangit in Apujao Grande Island, Mercedes, Camarines Norte last May 14, 2011; on May 28 they provided school supplies to school children of Cagbunga Elementary School in Barrio Cagbunga, Pamplona, Camarines Sur, and joined the Brigada Eskuwela activities for Mababang Paaralan ng Salay in San Jose, Buhi,  Camarines Sur.

The Batch has been doing this for the fourth straight year.  It is their way to give thanks for the many blessings they have received.  It is also an opportunity for batchmates to see each other again and meet their respective families after a long time.

In remembering their roots, they sponsored the 9 am mass on May 29 at the Christ the King Church.

Batch 83 members who attended included  Gil Doblon, Boyet Tolosa, Ric Inigo, Ollie Herras, Momoy Imperial, Bob Castilla, Ed Balcueva, Ernie Badong, Allen Tolledo, Lino Boncodin, Mon Agawa, Joseph Dimabayao. Aying Avenido, Bem Dychinco, Frankie Barbosa, Jun Cereno, Art Abonal, Dondon Primavera, Joel Ocbina, Neal Nueca, Mike Reburiano, Ric Lozano, Joel Tresvalles  and Vicboy De Lima.

A salo-salo followed after the Eucharist at the back of the Four Pillars. After the eating, they were updated by De Lima on the various batch outreach and running activities.  Batch 83s next outreach activity will be on August 2011, targeting a barangay in Canaman where the barangay captain is Joel Ocbina.  In their passion for longevity, Batch 83 members  are run enthusiasts.  The next running activity they will be participating is the Camsur Marathon this September 25. Their active lifestyle is in preparation for their golden anniversary on 2033.

During the alumni mass, the Batch got to meet in person the alumni affairs officer Karl Llorin who is connected with the Office of the President of the Ateneo de Naga University. Karl and his wife Anna were also active during the alumni mass and merienda in taking pictures.

Pictures have been posted in the different Ateneo Alumni Facebook account and the Alumni Website. Video has been uploaded in YouTube, search for adnualumni, Batch 83 May 29 Mass and SaloSalo.
