Society of Ateneans of Naga City in San Diego, California (SANC-SD)

The Society of Ateneans of Naga City, San Diego, CA (SANC-SD) is the brainchild of Melvin del Puerto and Jun Burce. In July 2003, the first group of officers was voted in with Elmer Valenciano as Secretary General, Gil Borja, Executive First Vice-President, Siony Burce, Executive Second Vice-President, Noel Borja, Executive Secretary-Treasurer, Melvin del Puerto as the Archivist, and Ernie Barra as Press Relations Officers. The SANC-SD Council of Elders is comprised of the following Knights: Percival Perez, Erwin Borja, Vincent Pandes, Mario Ordas, Willie Gonzales, and Jun Burce. The Inauguration Ball of November 2003 was attended by over 300 Ateneans and guests from around the U.S. It was an elegant and successful evening. Ateneans from Xavier University and Manila were in attendance that night.
