Ateneo de Naga University Alumni Association
Metro Manila Chapter
(ADNUAA-MMC)
August 21, 1987, was indeed a historic moment not only for the Philippines as it celebrated the Aquino assassination marked on its fourth year, but for the whole ateneo alumni association as well. It was on this day that a group of idealistic and dedicated young men and women assumed the leadership of the Ateneo de Naga Alumni Association, Manila Chapter. Their battle cry was “a little time, effort and energy for the ADNAA and our community. A program of action drawn up after a month of weekly meetings called for a realization of three objectives: to formally organize the Association; to strengthen alumni interaction; and to help our Alma Mater by way of School Development Program and community outreach program.
The ADNAA Manila Chapter was formally registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission on April 7, 1988 under SEC Reg. No. 150058. The net result of this incorporation is to give the association the legal personality to stand on its own and even the privilege to accept donations to fund its worthwhile projects. Among the purposes of the association are the following: to harmonize, promote, encourage, foster and develop the moral, intellectual, scholastic, professional and social interests and well-being of the members of the Ateneo de Naga Alumni Corporation; foster, promote and develop stronger camaraderie among members of the alumni association through the promotion and development of common endeavors, undertakings and other activities worthy of enterprise; and contribute to higher loftier moral, spiritual, intellectual, civic and social values and objectives for the welfare of the Alumni Association members in particular, and for the community in general, seeking first the Kingdom of God (Primum Regnum Dei).
